THIEVES brandished a knife and threatened staff during a daylight robbery stealing cash and alcohol.

Two men wearing face coverings threatened a member of staff at an undisclosed business in Newtown Road, Malvern yesterday afternoon (Thursday).

The pair demanded money and about £300 in cash and four bottles of spirits were stolen during the robbery at 12.50pm.

They ran off over a grassed hill toward Hornyold Road where it is believed they removed their face coverings.

One of the men is described as white, around 5’10 tall and wearing a snood-type face covering, black Umbro jacket, grey North Face tracksuit bottoms and black trainers with white soles.

He was holding a white-handled knife with black blade.

The second man is described as white, six-foot tall with a slim build and wearing a blue hooded top turned inside out, dark Adidas three-stripe tracksuit bottoms and a full face covering.

Detective Constable Sophie Heath said: “This incident happened in the middle of the day when many people are likely to have been out and about.

“We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen these men or anyone who was driving in the area and may have captured them on dashcam.

“We are reviewing CCTV footage but would ask anyone in the area with CCTV to please check their footage to see if they may have captured these men.”
