ONE of Malvern's most popular summer events is back next weekend.

The Malvern Wells Fete, which sees hundreds come out to enjoy stalls, music and food, comes back to the village on September 12.

Tonya O'Donnell, one of the organisers, said: "We are overjoyed after cancelling last year to be able to bring back the fun onto the Village Green near St Wulstan's Nature Reserve.

"It's been such a tough year or so for the whole world so we really hope this community event brings lots of fun & joy to everyone.

"We have food, drink, music, arena sports and games, fairground rides, pet competitions, bouncy castle, pony rides and plenty of stalls selling local handmade crafts and goods.

"Miss Piggy hog roast stepped in at the last minute to join the Friday Beer Co, Mr Simms Sweets, WI cake tent, Candyfloss & Ice-cream providing food and drink.

"Entertainment this year includes a Hula Dance Group, Steel Band and Ukele Band.

"There will be fun sports and games held in the arena. One of the highlights of the day is the Tug of War.

"We also have the Classic Car & Bike show too so there's lots to see and do.

"The whole family including pets are welcome to come down and join the fun."

The event starts at 1pm and finishes at 5pm.
