A man in his fifties from the Droitwich area has died in a collision between his car and a lorry at Teddington Hands on the A46 near Tewkesbury last night, June 15.

The collision, between Teddington Hands roundabout and Aston Cross traffic lights, involved a grey Renault Megane and a white HGV at around 8.20pm, say Gloucestershire Police.

“The driver of the Renault, a man in his 50s and from the Droitwich area, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene,” a police spokesman said. “His next of kin has been informed.

“The driver of the HGV, a man in his 30s and from the Worksop area, was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital after sustaining injuries which were not deemed to be serious. His next of kin are also aware.

“Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision and would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident and hasn't already been spoken to us - as well as anyone with dashcam footage."
