THE man who died after being hit by a train in Winchester has been identified.
An inquest has been opened into the death of 35-year-old Robert Louis Flack.
The St Matthews Road resident was pronounced dead at the city train station on May 6.
A post mortem report states the preliminary cause of death as multiple injuries, to be investigated; with a collision with a train contributing.
On the day, a spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Just after 8pm we received a call that a person had been struck by a train at Winchester railway station as a result of that emergency services attended and a person was unfortunately pronounced deceased at the station."
