A MAN in his 80s was taken to hospital after crashing his car in to a wall.
Paramedics were called to help the man who had suffered minor injuries. West Midlands Ambulance Service said the man had crashed in to the wall on Ambleside Drive near the junction with Tolladine Road in Worcester. However police said they believed the man had reversed in to a fence. The crash happened just after 11:30am today (May 12).
West Midlands Ambulance Service said, “We were called to reports of an RTC on Ambleside Drive, Worcester. We sent one ambulance to the scene. Crews arrived to find a car had come into collision with a brick wall, with one patient involved. Crews treated the driver, a man, for minor injuries.
West Mercia Police have said "At around 11.50am today we received reports of a collision on Ambleside Drive in Worcester. Officers attending the minor single vehicle collision found that the driver, a man in his 80s had reversed into a fence and the road was partially blocked. The man wasn’t seriously injured however the vehicle requires full recovery."
The man has been admitted to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further treatment.
