One Worcestershire has supported our Love Local Business campaign, which encourages our readers to back traders by spending their money locally.

Run by the Worcester News, Malvern Gazette and Evesham Journal, in partnership with Worcestershire County Council, Worcester BID, Crowngate Shopping Centre, the University of Worcester and now One Worcestershire, Love Local Business aims to help traders recover from lockdown.

One Worcestershire is a novel approach to raising the profile of the county. It is not owned by any one organisation or partner. It is a public and private sector partnership reflecting the county-wide pride in championing Worcestershire as a place to live, work, invest and visit.

A spokesman said: "For too long now, Worcestershire has been one of the country’s best kept secrets. So, let’s not keep it secret any longer and let’s share our success and showcase the best that our county has to offer.

"From the edge of the Cotswolds to the outskirts of the UK’s second city, Worcestershire is a county where you can thrive.

"Worcestershire’s fastest growing network has reached the halfway mark. The Worcestershire 1,000 is made up of companies, organisations, and individuals from all corners of the county, and aims to work together in raising the profile of Worcestershire."

Richard Soper CBE, from One Worcestershire and former CEO of Worcestershire Bosch Group, said: “We’re delighted to have reached the 500 members milestone for the Worcestershire 1,000.

“Since its launch in 2019, the Worcestershire 1,000 has received a positive response from local businesses, organisations, and some well-known sporting figures.

“We’re proud that our members have come together during the pandemic to support one another. We hope this inspires many more to become a part of such an amazing network as the county drives towards recovery following Covid-19. And, as restrictions start to ease, we look forward to welcoming visitors to take advantage of what our beautiful county has to offer.”

Joining the Worcestershire 1,000 is easy. All you need to do is answer a few simple questions about you or your business and you’ll have access to a supportive network of the county’s businesses. You’ll also gain access to exclusive campaigns, marketing materials to help promote your business and the county, and it’s all free.
