A REALITY TV star whose daughter needs the same treatment as Worcester boy Oscar Saxelby-Lee has shared the heartbreaking news that their last treatment option is no longer available.

Ashley Cain and partner Safiyya Vorajee have been raising money to take their eight month-old daughter Azaylia to Singapore for CAR T-Cell treatment, the same as was given to Oscar. Despite this, the former footballer says no treatment could be found, and there is nothing more they can do.

In a heartbreaking Instagram post, the couple said: “After Azaylia’s CT scan and ultrasound, we have been informed by consultants that they have found tumours in her brain, kidneys, liver, lungs and spleen.

"They have said there is no way they can tackle the tumours in her brain because of the pressure in her head. Her chemo is also no longer reducing the disease in her blood because it is so aggressive."

The former Ex on the Beach star's fundraising appeal to try and afford the trip to Singapore has raised more than £1.5million, but according to Mr Cain, they can no longer go as the medics in Singapore have been unable to formulate a treatment which will work. He added: "This was our last and only option to save Azaylia's life, but her disease was sadly too complex for them, so we will now be returning home with our beautiful baby to give her the best possible time she has left."

The treatment they were exploring in Singapore is the same as the treatment given to Worcester boy Oscar Saxelby-Lee, after people from around the world joined a fundraising campaign launched by his family to make the trip.

Miss Vorajee also said: "I am so proud of my baby girl, she's been fighting for so long and doesn't deserve this. There aren't enough words to describe the pain I am feeling, but I am honoured to have become mummy to my precious girl."

The money raised by the fundraising appeal will go to other children and their families in the same situation, and the couple thanked everyone who helped donate.

They said: "We will be donating any extra money to other children and their families in the same situation as us - we pledged to give back to this community from the moment we were thrust into it and that is something we will always honour.

"Thank you all for your energy, love, support and prayers - it lifts us and carries us through this terrifying journey."
