ANOTHER winner has been crowned in the second of a Malvern photography competition.

The Friends of Priory Park's photo competition has been won by Natasha Butler, whose wonderful 'in the bamboo' shot was chosen by last month's winner Simon Cross, who was the competition's first winner.

Speaking after choosing the winner, he said it was "an extremely close call between these two".

In second place was Paul Harwood-Browne with 'through the gate'.

Speaking about the winning entry, Mr Cross said: "Lovely light, textures, colours and depth.

"Through the lush green bamboo leaves attention is drawn towards a figure in fuchsia- this punctuates the photo and gives it a focal point.

"It conjures up a story/element of intrigue with an impressionist feel to it."

For the second place photo, Mr Cross said: "Lovely textures and touches of haze, light and shade.

"Shadows cast by the gate and its railings are striking and exquisite.

"The image is very engaging drawing you in."
