PAUL Molloy says his Malvern Town squad are starting to believe they can haul themselves away from danger in British Gas Business Division One Midlands.

Malvern remain second-from-bottom of the pile, having played more games than the teams around them, but have enjoyed improved results of late.

The Langland Stadium side have managed one win and two draws from their last five games, including a 2-2 draw against Bishops Cleeve on Saturday, and the manager thinks that has been reflected in their play.

Molloy said: "We are playing a lot better but we were disappointed in blowing a 2-0 lead against Bishops Cleeve on Saturday.

"We are playing with a much better belief and there's a belief in the squad that we can get ourselves out of the predicament we are in."

Malvern travel to a Rushall Olympic side tomorrow (3pm) who have played nine fewer games because of cup commitments.

The Walsall-based team have also won their last two matches without conceding a goal, one of which was a 2-0 success at Stourport Swifts last Saturday.

But Molloy said: "We are hoping to get something out of that. They played Stourport last week and I spoke to their manager Neil Hunt and he says Rushall are beatable."

Captain Andy Jones has joined Bromsgrove Rovers but Malvern can call on the likes of Warren Howes, Pete Boyle and Matt Aubrey in the centre of defence.

However, striker Justin Marsden has returned to AFC Telford following a loan spell.
