THERE have been no new coronavirus-related deaths recorded in Worcestershire's hospitals according to official statistics.

The latest NHS England daily figures, released this afternoon (March 28) show there have been no new deaths recorded in the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.

This means the number of deaths recorded in the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust remains at 797 with the Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust’s total staying at 63.

In total, there have been 860 Covid deaths in county hospitals and at least 1,307 in all settings.

Across England, a further 23 people who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 86,176.

Patients were aged between 15 and 91 years old. All except one patient had known underlying health conditions.

Dates of death range from March 19, 2021 to March 27, 2021 with the majority being on or after March 25.
