A DOCTOR is the latest to be nominated for a Worcestershire Health and Social Care Award.
Dr Sally Natynczuk, consultant psychiatrist, has received a nomination in the Mental Health Award category.
Nominating her reader Ruth Evans said: "Dr Natynczuk is honest and respectful, she take time to listen and take notice what is being said to her.
"She is open to discussion and looking for ways of assisting patients to help themselves to climb out of the horrors of mental ill health.
"I was unwell in late summer last year. Dr Natynczuk and a nurse colleague visited me at my home address in full PPE, both showing an amazing commitment to me as a patient.
"I don't think it is fully recognised that mental health professionals are continuing to provide care for their patients at home, despite the potential risks to themselves and their families."
On hearing the nomination Dr Natynczuk said: "I am delighted to have been nominated for the mental health award. It's fantastic being part of a team that's worked hard all throughout the pandemic and continue to provide the best care possible to support patients."
There are 12 categories in our Health and Social Care 2021 Awards. They are:

Voting closes on April 2 and our panel of judges will choose the finalists, who will be featured in our titles.
Winners will be announced at a virtual awards ceremony on May 27.
