ONE part of Malvern has remained on a coronavirus hotspot map due to the higher number of positive cases.
The infection rate in Malvern Link was 388.3 cases per 100,000 people in the week up to February 24 but had reached 403.9 cases per 100,000 people - and moved up into a higher category on Public Health England’s coronavirus map - during the week.
Public Health England said a total of 25 cases were recorded in Malvern Link in the week up to February 24 - a rise of 47 per cent compared to the previous week’s figures.
The rate had soared in Malvern Link by 243 per cent in the week up to February 19 according to Public Health England’s coronavirus map.
Areas with infection rates between 400 and 799 cases per 100,000 people are placed in the second ‘hotspot’ category by Public Health England.
