THERE have been five new coronavirus related deaths recorded at Worcestershire's hospitals today, according to official statistics.

The latest NHS England daily figures (Saturday, February 27) show there have been three new deaths recorded in the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, bringing its total to 764 and two new deaths at the Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, bringing its total to 60.

In total, there have been 824 Covid-19 deaths in county hospitals and at least 1,263 in all settings.

Across England, a further 257 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 82,974.

Patients were aged between 23 and 98 years old. All except seven (aged 45 to 95 years old) had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from 21 April 2020 to 26 February 2021.
