A POLICE officer in Worcester has urged people to take Covid seriously after he spent 63 hours in hospital after falling ill with the virus.
PC Rowan Boyle, a response officer with South Worcestershire police, revealed the news on his Twitter account.
He said: “63 hours spent on Covid wards. Very glad to be back home to my fiancé and son. Prescription drugs and catching up on a lot of sleep now and continuing recovery at home.
"Please take it seriously, you never know when you may catch it and how severe it will be.”
