THERE have been 11 new coronavirus related deaths recorded across Worcestershire's hospitals.

The total number of deaths at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust has risen to 588, an increase from 577 yesterday.

There have been no newly-recorded deaths in the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, with its total remaining at 48.

In total, there have now been 636 Covid-19 deaths in the county's hospitals, out of 935 in all settings.

The Acute Hospitals Trust covers Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and Kidderminster Hospital.

The Health and Care NHS trust covers community hospitals and rehabilitation wards, including Worcester City Impatient Unit, Malvern Community Hospital, Evesham Community Hospital, Pershore Community Hospital, the Princess of Wales Community Hospital in Bromsgrove, Tenbury Community Hospital and the Wyre Forest Ward.

789 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 64,111.

Patients were aged between 8 and 111 years old. All except twenty-eight (aged 25 to 97 years old) had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from 20 October 2020 to 20 January 2021 with the majority being on or after 17 January.

Their families have been informed.
