A BROOK in Malvern is to redirected after a successful campaign by Malvern Town Council to get it fixed.
As part of its “rewilding” campaign, Cllr Sharon Taylor, part of the group looking into the issue, said: “After the town council rewilding group recently promoted the planting of wildflowers on the new estate on Pickersleigh Grove, I have been in touch with the estate manager Pawal Riktor again last week regarding the state of the brook following the development, which has been a sorry sight plus a flooding hazard into the estate.
"It used to be a little bluebell oasis and is finally going to be addressed by Platform Housing, who are going to reroute the brook due to problem of the run off of cement and materials.”
The rewilding scheme, launched in December is aimed at increasing biodiversity in the area.
Landowners are being encouraged to preserve pollinators by encouraging the planting of more wildflowers and shrubs in the area.
