THERE have been 13 new coronavirus related deaths recorded across Worcestershire's hospitals.

The total number of deaths at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust has risen to 555, an increase from 543 on Monday.

And at Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust there was a further death, rising to 48.

In total there have been 603 Covid-19 deaths in county hospitals.

And in all settings, including hospices and care homes, there have been at least 899 coronavirus deaths.

The Acute Hospitals Trust covers Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and Kidderminster Hospital.

The Health and Care NHS trust covers community hospitals and rehabilitation wards, including Worcester City Impatient Unit, Malvern Community Hospital, Evesham Community Hospital, Pershore Community Hospital, the Princess of Wales Community Hospital in Bromsgrove, Tenbury Community Hospital and the Wyre Forest Ward.

Across England a further 842 people, who tested positive for Covid-19 had died it was reported earlier, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 58,712.
