How many crimes were reported near you last November?

It was a month of tougher national restrictions when the second national lockdown was introduced.

Despite this, the criminals still came out to play; according to the most up-to-date data from the Cumbria Constabulary,  3215 crimes were reported across Cumbria in November.

Overwhelmingly, the most reported crime in Cumbria were violent and sexual offences; in this month alone, 1191 of these incidents were reported.

There were also a lot of anti-social behaviour reports (775) as well as criminal damage and arson reports (327).

Opposingly, theft from a person (5 reports) and possession of weapons (19) were reported the least frequently.

In Carlisle specifically, 929 crimes were reported; of these  21 per cent were for anti-social behaviour and a whopping 38 per cent were for violent and sexual offences.

Across the whole of Cumbria, London Road in Carlisle was the street with the most amount of reported crimes.

Shoplifting was the most reported crime on this street.

Twickenham Court in Carlisle (14) and in Carlisle (13) also received a lot of reports.

In terms of burglaries, Penrith Place in Barrow was the street with the most reported burglaries (4) followed by Granville Road in Carlisle.

Out of the 3215 crimes reported 174 are awaiting a police outcome.

A further 1090 are under investigation and in 12 per cent of cases, no suspect has been identified.
