How many crimes were reported near you last November?

It was a month of tougher national restrictions when the second national lockdown was introduced.

Despite this, the criminals still came out to play; according to the most up-to-date data from the Lancashire Constabulary,  6351 crimes were reported across East Lancashire in November.

By far, the most reported crime in East Lancashire was anti-social behaviour which was reported 2571 times that month.  

Violent and sexual offences were also reported frequently (1740) as well as criminal damage and arson (454).

Opposingly, bicycle theft (6) and theft from a person (14) were reported the less frequently this month.

According to the data, Clayton Street in Colne is the street with the most amount of crime reports in East Lancashire.

The most reported crime on this street were violent and sexual offences; 15 reports of this offence were made on Clayton Street.

Haslingden Road in Rossendale also received a high volume of crime reports (31) along with Pine Street in Nelson (19) .

According to the data, the worst street for burglaries is Shefield Lane in Burnley where six incidents were reported.

Also topping the list is Barry Street in Burnley, Whalley Road in Blackburn and Hampden Avenue in Darwen which each received four burglary reports.

Out of the 6351 crimes reported, only 65 are currently awaiting a court outcome and a further 3539 are still under investigation.

In 13 cases, no suspect has been identified and in 116 cases police have been unable to prosecute the suspect.
