MANY people have been taking advantage of the snow this week, spending many hours outside having fun with loved ones.

We have gathered some of your best images as well as photographs taken by one of our reporters in and around Malvern over the last couple of days.

It did not snow on Christmas Day but it was close enough!

With the pandemic still very much with us and showing no signs of going away, it is good for us all to get out of the house and – socially distanced – enjoy fresh air to raise spirits.

The Malvern Hills Trust – which manage the hills and commons – anticipated visitors over the festive period and asked people to take litter home and park sensibly and to stay socially distanced.

Anna Humphries – who is a Bear Grylls instructor and mountain leader – posted a 45-second video clip on her Twitter page on Monday afternoon showing her sledging down a path on the Malvern Hills, which can be seen on our website.

She said on Twitter: “I just sledged from the top of the Malvern Hills to the bottom.

“That was quick! Steering was good!

“Thanks to everyone for moving out my way and smiling! Made my day.” Visitors could hear her coming as the plastic sledge cut through the snow and Anna thanked people for moving out of the way.

It would have taken Anna a good deal longer to reach the summit, with the highest point at the Worcestershire Beacon being 425 metres above sea level.

The next couple of days are a mixed bag but snow is expected again on Tuesday in the region.
