PEOPLE living and working in a village near Malvern are being asked to send in their views on its resources and services.

Welland residents are invited to take part in the survey and have their say on what they think can be done to help the community to grow.

The village's parish council applied for funding from Worcestershire County Council to employ Sarah Gittings and Natalie McVey as community development facilitators.

As part of their job, they are looking into ways to improve the village and how it can be helped to flourish, despite the coronavirus lockdown.

They said: "Welland is an expanding community, and we want to ensure that residents are aware of the village’s excellent facilities, and use them.

"We also want to make sure that people are aware of the events and activities that take place in the Village and gather views about how to help the community to grow.

"Despite the COVID-19 lockdown, we have hit the ground running speaking to members of the Welland community to find out about their needs and hidden talents.

"Unfortunately, a second lockdown has meant that we have had to adapt our approach, but we are still keen to understand the community’s views and think that in current circumstances, phoning or emailing may be the best way to do this."

A printed copy of the questionnaire has been included with the November Community Update Newsletter which was distributed to residents, week beginning November 16 and it can be returned to the Parish Council post box outside the Village Stores.
