A HOODED paedophile from Worcester was unmasked after he appeared at court for sexual offences against children while one brazen thief managed to steal £8,000 of cosmetics from a city store.

Anthony Patrick did his best to hide his face when he stepped out of Worcester Magistrates Court, as reported this week. However, in the interests of protecting the city's children we successfully applied for a custody photo which we published so everyone can see his face. Read the story here.

Also in court was Cornel Gheorghe who stole £8,226 worth of high value cosmetics from Boots in the High Street in Worcester, sweeping the shelves into a bag during three separate raids in under two weeks.

He smiled throughout the hearing but looked less cheerful when he was pictured leaving the court. The matter was considered too serious to be dealt with by magistrates and he will be sentenced at the crown court. Read the full story here.

Another prolific shoplifter, Kalie Blaymires, was also sentenced following a string of raids on shops in Worcester, Droitwich and Kidderminster. She stole more than £2,000 worth of goods including some rather saucy items. Read the full story here.

Kyle Gordon could not be arrested straight away because he needed to be taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for his injures after he broke the £1,000 window at the Plough in Fish Street, Worcester.

Miles Hamilton admitted assault by beating against former partner, Ophellia Blakeway, when he appeared before magistrates in Worcester on Thursday.

The 29-year-old IT worker of Ronkswood Hill, Worcester carried out the assault on July 19 this year, his partner calling 999. Read the full story here.

Meanwhile, Karolinn Allen of Worcester had drunk close to a bottle of wine when she crashed her Citroen C3 on the A38 at Droitwich following a blowout near the Chateau Impney.
