THERE have been no new coronavirus related deaths recorded at Worcestershire hospitals according to official statistics.

The latest NHS England daily figures (October 23) show there have been no new deaths recorded in the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust, which remains at 288 deaths, with the number of deaths in the Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust remaining at 29 deaths.

In total there have been 317 Covid-19 deaths in county hospitals and in all settings there have been at least 542 Worcestershire deaths.

In England, a further 131 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 31,558.

Patients were aged between 45 and 99 years old. All except two (aged between 77 and 91) had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from September 13 to October 22, 2020, with the majority being on or after October 14.

Their families have been informed.
