THE A44 at Wyre Piddle has been closed by police this evening.
The closure is at both carriageway, near to the Recycling Centre.
West Mercia Police and Worcestershire Highways are currently advising motorists to avoid the area.
Meanwhile, with heavy rain forecast this evening, police are also reminding drivers to take extra care on the roads.

West Mercia Police has said on social media: "We remind our communities to take extra care when using the roads:
"Keep your distance from the vehicle in front.
"Give plenty of room when overtaking.
"Avoid surface water where possible."
