DRIVING lessons are amongst the recent questions that came up when local lockdown announcements were made for North Wales.
After the initial March lockdown, driving lessons resumed in Wales for the public during the summer on July 27.
Theory tests restarted on August 3 - along with vocational, motorcycle, car and trailer tests, and tractor driving tests.
Driving tests recommenced on August 17, as well as the restarting of driving instructor testing and standards checks.
However, in light of new restrictions, many were concerned that lessons and tests would once again be cancelled.
A Welsh Government spokesman said: “This would still be allowed under the law if it is within the [Flintshire, Wrexham, Conwy, Denbighshire] area, as long as you both wear face coverings and the instructor is able to take appropriate protective measures.
“We do ask people though to think not only about what you can’t do because the law says so, but also about what you shouldn’t do because it could increase the spread of coronavirus and your risk of contracting coronavirus.
“Driving lessons are inherently riskier than most activities, and in this case both the instructor and the student may wish to ask themselves if they do wish to go ahead – especially if the instructor is travelling from outside the [Flintshire, Wrexham, Conwy, Denbighshire] area for the lesson.”
