A DUDLEY nursery is set to welcome parents to its first open day this weekend for the first time since lockdown.

Families are invited to look around Busy Bees on Manderston Close this Saturday (August 22) for the first time since restrictions started to relax.

Visitors will be able to explore the indoor and outdoor learning areas, see how the nursery has brought in new safety measures and will be able to find out more about the nursery's Unleashing Potential programme.

The open day takes place from 10.30am-12.30pm and parents will have to book an appointment in advance.

Coronavirus safety measures on the day include a limit to the number of people in the nursery at one time and visitors will have to wear a face mask and maintain a two metre distance at all times.

Katie Pearson, centre director at Busy Bees Dudley, said: “The last few months have really shown the importance of friendship and community spirit, and we are thrilled to be bringing people together once again as we emerge from these very challenging times.

"With our first open day in months, we’re excited to celebrate the community spirit of our area and welcome back some familiar faces, while showcasing all the wonderful things we’ve been up to here at Busy Bees Dudley.

“We remain committed to providing the best start in life for children, no matter the circumstances, so this will also be a fantastic opportunity to show parents what a day at our nursery looks like now. This is set to be an inspiring day, and we can’t wait to welcome the people of Dudley – it’s great to be open again!”
