FROM raw milk, curry sauce and pies - a number of supermarkets across the UK have issued urgent product recalls over safety fears.

Waitrose, Tesco, Sainsbury's and Asda are among the big retailers urging shoppers to check at home for these particular products so they can be returned and get a full refund.

The Food Standards Agency will recall products due to allergens not being displayed correctly on labels or potential contamination through production.

If there is a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold, then it might be 'withdrawn' (taken off the shelves) or 'recalled' (when customers are asked to return the product).
