A HOSPITAL trust is looking for people to make health pledges to celebrate the NHS's 72nd birthday.
The organisation celebrates its big day on Sunday, July 5, and North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is asking for support from the public to make pledges to help with their own physical and mental wellbeing.
Anna Stabler, the trust’s chief nurse, said: “We’d love people to take pledges.
“They can be anything, from pledging to walk a few extra steps each day, making time for yourself, improving your diet or helping others.
“It isn’t just about looking after your own health, it’s also about supporting your local NHS services.
“So give yourself and your NHS a helping hand by making a personal health pledge.”
The birthday is also being used to thank key workers who helped in the coronavirus crisis.
Special thank-you templates have been designed and everyone is being encouraged to download one and add the name of the person they would like to say thank you to.
These can be shared on social media and put in windows.
To share pledges and thank you messages on Facebook and Twitter tag @NCICNHS, and to download the thank-you templates go online to together.org.uk
