A BRA and a pair of knickers was found a pile of litter, branded by a mum as the actions of “selfish and disrespectful” walkers.

The items were found along with some glass bottles, cigarette packets and wrappers during one of Donna Dudley's daily walks.

Mrs Dudley, from Warndon Villages, in Worcester, has called for the public to pick up their litter to fight the “ongoing issue.”

Mrs Dudley takes carrier bags and gloves while she takes her daily walk with her three-year-old daughter, Daisy, and clears up the litter left on the floor.

Mrs Dudley, who has lived in the area for six years, said: “It’s been a constant issue since we have lived here.

“It’s the way people have been brought up – it shows a lack of respect. People who drop litter probably don’t have any self respect. The majority are probably aged between 12 and 18 and they think they’re too cool for school and just don’t care. People won’t change their selfish disrespectful behaviour.”

She says all over Warndon Villages there is a littering problem, but it’s particularly worse in more remote places.

She added: “It’s not my job to pick up the litter – everyone keeps saying it’s the council’s responsibility. But by the time you have contacted the council it is a few days before they can come out.

“You may as well just pick it up and dispose it yourself. It’s not right, but we don’t live in an ideal world. You can’t expect people to do the same. You can either moan about it and walk past or actually do something about it.

“We always have a carrier bag and some gloves on us when we go on our walks and pick up what we see. I think we just have to accept that some people don’t have the same level as respect as others might.”

She has found various items on her walks, including coke cans, beer bottles, cigarette packets, and sweet wrappers.

Last week she filled two bin bags with waste and found a Budweiser box which she also filled with litter.
