ROAD: The A44 Evesham Road will be closed this morning
The A44 remains closed this morning after Worcestershire Highways were unable to complete the road repairs as expected last night.
The delay was caused by a breakdown of a tarmac plant and an incomplete supply of materials.
The resurfacing work was meant to be completed from 6pm - 6am for three nights, however the delay means the A44 between Egdon & Peopleton is still closed.
Worcs Highways & Travel tweeted: "Overnight breakdown of tarmac plant & incomplete supply of material means that works were unfinished last night - the A44 remains closed this morning until remaining tarmac is delivered & laid."
