MALVERN TOWN 2, WILLENHALL TOWN 2

MALVERN Town secured only their fifth point of the season when they drew 2-2 with Willenhall Town at Langland Stadium.

After a very scrappy first-half, Willenhall took the lead in the 47th minute when a corner went across goal, wasn't cleared and Anthony Newton bundled the ball over the line from close range.

Malvern equalised in the 65th minute when a corner was only cleared to the edge of the box and Daniel Harding Hall fired home.

Straight from the restart Willenhall went on the attack and Tyrone Barnett shot hit captain Nick Clayton in the face and deflected away from keeper Lewis Skyers and into the net.

Barnett, who had missed two easy chances in the first-half, was shown his second yellow card in the 72th minute and was sent from the field.

In the 87th minute Malvern worked the ball into the opponents' box and keeper Richard Williams punched the ball out to Jamie Hyde just outside the area and he chipped the ball into the top corner of the net.

Unfortunately, Bryan Craven, who had already been booked and substituted, ran to the pitch to join in the equaliser celebrations and once again was booked and then promptly dismissed.
