MIDWIVES from a county hospital released a heartwarming video to reassure new mothers they will be looked after.

The video, shared on social media, sees several midwives from Worcestershire Royal Hospital holding up signs with different parts of the message, which says: "A message from the midwives of Worcestershire Royal Hospital. These are unusual times and we have had to put in place measures to protect us all.

"We know it is not ideal, we know that people are upset by this, we know this means for some of you your birth partner cannot attend and we know that you are scared, but we want you to know, we are here for you."

Due to coronavirus, women need to attend all antenatal, postnatal and ultrasound scans alone. One birth partner can be present during labour but no visitors will be allowed on the ante or postnatal wards.
