A brand new play is coming to Colwall Village Hall, and it will be all about 'school life, family, art and worrying about the future'

Not to mention 'the impending apocalypse'.

A spokesman said: "All this pressure can make life complicated if you’re young (or indeed, not-so-young) in 2020. Written and directed by local playwright, Lee Farley, ‘Who Are You?” is a modern comedy about identity.

"The play’s characters navigate their way through the labyrinth of school cuts, family dramas, climate emergencies, and some very strange dreams. How, exactly, do you work out who you are?

"A company of local actors has been recruited for the production, including the Young Colwall Players company, familiar from Cinderella, The Wolves of Willoughby Chase, and last February’s dark and ingenious version of Alice."

Lee lives in Malvern and has been a regular director and performer for Colwall Players for many years. He runs Perfect Circle Theatre Company - based mainly at Malvern Cube, the company offers 'exciting opportunities for local children and young people to get involved in making theatre'.

Lee is also an associate lecturer in the Drama Department at the University of Worcester, and is also a freelance actor, director, and workshop leader.

He said: "This is my first full-length play and I am extremely grateful to Colwall Players for the fantastic opportunity."

Performances will be from Thursday February 20 to Saturday, February 22.
