A FAMILY-run business has been hit by theft of work equipment worth around £7,000.

Jeremy Kenwrick, 36, director of Kendeen Plastic Limited in Longridge Road, Malvern said he was "pig sick" about the theft.

Mr Kenwrick had filled his work van with equipment the night before a job, so it was ready to go in the morning.

Mr Kenwrick said: "Everything was inside that van as the other van was getting repaired off site and two vans worth of tools were in the back.

"I've had to go out and buy more tools costing me another £7,000 and I'm not sure if the insurance will pay for the claim or not - I need to see what they say.

"No time is good to get stolen from but this is bad timing."

The company supplies and installs doors, windows and roofing, as well as conservatories.

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "We were called to Kendeen Plastic Limited at 1:29am on Wednesday, December 18 by a member of the public who witnessed either a grey or silver saloon driving away in the direction of Worcester.

"We searched the area thoroughly."
