A SHEEP had to be rescued after it became stuck in a stream.
Firefighters from Burnley and Darwen, were called to Ightenhill Park Lane, Burnley, at 12.45pm on Monday to rescue the sheep.
A fire service spokesman said two water rescue technicians entered the water on an inflatable sled to try and rescue the animal.
The spokesman said: "A further two firefighters were deployed down stream as spotters with rescue lines. "Firefighters were able to safely rescue the animal and were in attendance approximately 90 minutes."
