OPEN: Kate RIchardson-Walsh opened the new astroturf courts at Malvern St James
MALVERN pupils were given an Olympic hockey masterclass as former GB and England captain Kate Richardson-Walsh OBE officially opened new astroturf courts.
The hockey legend opened the new courts at Malvern St James and a staff vs students hockey match was held, watched by large crowds of pupils and staff.
Pupils from Cradley Primary, Somers Park Primary and Malvern St James Prep were all invited and the match was decided through a penalty shootout with the pupils emerging as narrow winners.
