A CHARITY skittles competition in Malvern proved a success with more than £1,000 raised.
The Malvern and District Motorcycle Club hosted the competition over 12 weeks to raise money for Worcester Breast Cancer Haven.
The competition, which took place between June and August, saw 35 teams whittled down to just four.
Spectators saw the Toffee Wanderers overcome the Breakaways 142-140 pin to win the title.
In the semi-finals the Toffee Wanders beat Pins on the Run 138-134 whilst Breakaways beat the favourites Powick Nomads 134-131.
The highest team score was Living on a Spare with 161 pins.
The total sum raised was £1,050 for the charity.
A cub spokesman said: "The Club is very grateful for the support given to this long established competition."
