THE search for a missing teenager who was seen falling from the Sabrina Bridge into the River Severn remains ongoing.

Named on social media as Alessandro Frumenzi, the 18-year-old was seen toppling from the Hylton Road footbridge in the early hours of Saturday morning (June 29).

According to his Facebook profile he is from Leverkusen but living in Worcester, having begun studying at Heart of Worcestershire College since the autumn 2018 term.

Following reports of the fall on Saturday, police said the teenager had been officially recorded as missing on Sunday morning and released a CCTV photo in the hope of identifying him.

A spokesman said: “The search of the river is ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, which occurred in the early hours of yesterday (Saturday, June 29) morning, or has any other information that could help, to get in touch.”

Anyone with information can call 101 quoting incident 42s of June 29.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious at this time.
