MALVERN'S Tourist Information Centre will close its doors on Sunday for the final time in its current location as it prepares to move to a new home.
Staff will then spend the early part of next week preparing the TIC’s new base in the former Priory parish office at Lyttelton Well, Church Street.
The new TIC will then open on Friday, May 17.
The move is part of a five-year deal agreed between Malvern Hills District Council, the Priory and Lyttelton Well, which will see the council rent the building while remaining responsible for employing TIC staff and promoting the district as a tourist destination.
Volunteers are also being sought to work with the TIC’s team to help greet and guide the tens of thousands of people who visit the centre for help every year.
Duties will include offering information and advice on things to see and do, places to eat and drink, accommodation, selling souvenirs and generally being a friendly face to welcome visitors.
For more information about volunteering at Malvern TIC contact Victoria Carman, visitor economy officer, on 01684 862483.
