THERE’s absolutely no excuse for Easter holiday boredom in the Malvern Hills Area, whether it’s a egg hunt you are seeking or a visit to a beautiful garden.

The Ledbury Lettering Festival is “a celebration of the diversity of calligraphy with work by lettering artists from around the Three Counties and beyond”. There will be regular demonstrations plus lots of information about where to go and learn the craft or how to commission a piece of work.

The venue will be The Weavers Gallery in Church Lane from Saturday April 20 to Sunday April 28.

Eastnor Castle will host an eggs-plorers easter treasure hunt around the castle and grounds from today, Friday, April 19 to Monday April 22.

A spokesman said: “Calling all mini-EGGsplorers to come along and test your skills with our legendary Easter Treasure Hunt around the castle and grounds. Chocolate MaltEaster bunny for everyone who takes part and a chance to win an enormous Easter Egg!”

The castle will also host Runaround Days from Tuesday April 23 to April 25.

Newbridge Farm Park at Aylton near Ledbury will have plenty happening this Easter.

Visitors will be able to “bottle-feed a lamb, take part in an Easter treasure hunt and visit the spring baby animals”.

There’s also a new soft play area, pony and tractor rides, giant sandpit and a play barn.

Eastnor Pottery will be running family workshops in the Easter Holidays, until April 27, with the theme of “Hard Boiled!”

A spokesman said: "Families will get the opportunity to fashion an egg inspired sculpture using tried and tested clay modelling techniques under the expert tutelage of professional potters.

Coddington Vineyard will open its garden for the NGS.

Visitors will be able to enjoy five acres including a two acre vineyard, listed farmhouse, threshing barn and cider mill.

The event takes place from Sunday April 21 to Monday April 22.

Sounds Like Fun! is an Thursday afternoon singing session with Ros Thomas, on April 25.

A spokesman said: “All voices are welcome, all songs are taught by ear, no music reading is required, there is no audition and no-one is asked to sing on their own - ever!”

The venue is Christ Church Hall, Avenue Road, Malvern.

Brockhampton will host “Cadbury’s Medieval Easter trail” throughout the holidays until Sunday, April 28.
