THE footbridge across the railway line at Colwall station has been put back in place after it was taken away for refurbishment.

The bridge was dismantled in January to allow much-needed repair work to be carried out without disrupting rail services.

The bridge was re-erected overnight between Saturday, March 9, and Sunday.

Once it was back in place, workers returned during the following few nights to complete the assembly of the bridge, remove the straps used to lift it into position and dismantle the braces used during its transportation.

The bridge is due to be reopened for public use today (Friday).
