THE games operator for theme parks like Drayton Manor and Alton Towers has agreed a deal to take over the arcade at West Midland Safari Park from 2020.

HB Leisure has already agreed a contract to operate the skill games at the Bewdley attraction's theme park from this month.

Park bosses say the deal will mean visitors have access to the latest games, and improve guest experience.

A spokesman said: "We are always looking at ways to improve the guest experience here at the park and this really exciting deal will ensure the latest games are available for visitors to enjoy.

"With regards the arcade, HB Leisure will take over the running in 2020."

They added: "Bringing HB Leisure on board is hugely exciting for us."

Until then, the arcade will continue to be operated by West Midland Safari Park, in partnership with Sega.

The safari park announced this week it would be making up to 26 permanent job roles redundant, following a full-scale review of the park's operations.

Home to around 140 species including elephants, rhino, and lions, the park was taken over by French leisure provider The Looping Group in December.
