YEAR 4 children from St Mary's C of E Primary School in Credenhill enjoyed their class trip to the Waterworks Museum recently.

They started by learning and recreating the water cycle and filtered dirty water through different materials.

They also worked in teams to engineer a pipe system to supply houses and businesses with water on a limited budget - facing penalties for any leaks.

They had small group tours of the Waterworks Museum and a water efficiency treasure hunt.

The day was rounded off with pond dipping.

One school staff member commented "The children were a credit to the school. The children were polite, attentive and engaged in all the activities throughout the day.

"We have so many ideas to work on in class and we are looking forward to sharing our learning at the end of half term".

The organisers would like to extend their thanks to the parent volunteers that accompanied the trip and express their gratitude for the continued support from parents, carers and the local community.

In addition they would like to thank the Waterworks Museum for such a wonderful trip.

They recommend that all primary schools to take the time to visit the museum.
