A COUPLE have celebrated their Diamond Wedding anniversary, their secret being that they “give and take to each other.”
John and Pauline Beebee, both 81, met at school and were instantly “compatible” John said.
Pauline was a secretary and John worked at a Thermal Engineering company. John also did national service in the army. They were married 12 months after he completed his National Service.
After five years they started a family. They now have three children and five grand children.
Sharon lives in Bredons Norton and Craig lives in East Sussex.
They moved to Pershore to be closer to Sharon.
John said “being tolerant of each other.” was part of their success.
Originally from Birmingham, They have lived in Pershore for 11 years.
The couple celebrated their anniversary Thursday, September 20 in Bredon Village Hall. All their children and grandchildren were there.
Over 50 friends and family members attended from Birmingham.
“A good time was had by all" said John.
