A COMIC from Oldbury, who has been tipped for super stardom after appearing on both Live At The Apollo and Mock The Week, is headlining a comedy night in Dudley on Friday.

Darren Harriott, who has also appeared on Russell Howard’s Comedy Central and was nominated as Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2017, will take centre stage at Comedy At The Court House.

The show, in the upstairs room at The Court House pub in New Street, will see Darren supported by Abi Roberts and Josh Pugh, with resident MC Wayne Beese, from Dudley, hosting.

Wayne said: “We’re delighted to be able to bring Darren Harriott to Dudley.

“I do believe genuinely he is going to the very, very top, so this is a great opportunity to see him in a small intimate venue.

“Then when he’s selling out arenas you can say you saw him first!

“He’s a brilliant comic, laid back, likeable and very, very funny, one of the best out there."

He added: “We’ve got two fantastic support acts on the bill as well. Abi plays all the big clubs, while Josh is also tipped for big things after winning the English Comedian crown two years ago.

“All in all it promises to be a fantastic night. We’re trying to bring the best acts to Dudley, but we need people to support the night and come along.”

The monthly club only started running earlier this year and takes place on the last Friday of every month.

Tickets cost £10 and are available at www.ticketsource.co.uk/funnybeeseness.
