PUPILS at Madresfield CE Primary School are now able to find out about the wonders of nature on their own doorstep.
The school is host to a successful Forest School project, guided by the efforts of teacher Jacki George.
Thanks to her endeavour, and funding from local supermarkets Tesco and Waitrose, forest school facilities have been installed on the school's own grounds.
Previously, forest school studies were carried out in the grounds of Madresfield Court, which meant pupils had to cross the village's main road to reach them.
Now Mrs George's efforts have been recognised by official accreditation from the Forest School Association - only the second state school in Worcestershire to be so recognised.
Mrs George said: "We're absolutely delighted with the accreditation, and so pleased that we have our own forest school facilities on our own grounds."
