LUDLOW Cancer Support Group is holding a Macmillan Coffee Morning in the Parish Room of St Peter's Church in Henley Road from 11am on Friday, September 28.

Admission is £2.50, to include coffee and cake, and there will be a raffle.

There will also be a bring and buy table, and whereas entry money and raffle proceeds will be for Macmillan, monies from the bring and buy will go towards LCSG funds. So come with your unwanted gifts and good quality bric à brac!

Ludlow Cancer Support Group meets at 11am on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month in the Parish Room of St Peter's Church.

Membership is free to anyone diagnosed with cancer, no matter when the diagnosis was made.

"We are now in our fifth year", said Rosemary Wood, chairman of LCSG.

"In that time, friendships have been made, our social calendar has expanded, and our allotment and garden at Wigley's Field have blossomed".

One new event this year will be a jazz evening in the Parish Room on Friday, October 5, when Rob Jones, who is also chairman of Wigley's Field Allotments, will lead the Vintage Jazz Revival band.

Tickets cost £5, to include a glass of wine or a soft drink and nibbles, and the fun starts at 6.15pm for 6.30pm.

Bring family and friends, and email or phone Rosemary Wood to reserve your tickets.
