CELEBRATIONS are underway for the 60th anniversary of the opening of a Malvern school.
Students and staff from Dyson Perrins CE Academy hope that ex-students and staff, parents and governors and all those with a connection to the school will come together to celebrate the milestone.
A small group of staff have sifted through archive material to put together displays showing the school in its many phases over the past 60 years.
The displays will be on show and visitors can view them during organised tours on Thursday, September 20.
The school says many months of planning and preparation have also been devoted to organising a special 60th anniversary celebration which will take place in the main school hall from 7.00pm to midnight on Saturday, September 22.
Bev Williams, the school's office manager, said: "Dyson Perrins has already been contacted by many ex-students who have very fond memories of their time spent at the school and who also attribute their choice of career path and success to the influence of the wonderful staff who worked with them.
"Everyone is really looking forward to re-uniting with friends and colleagues to celebrate the amazing family that is Dyson Perrins CE Academy."
To take part in a tour, please contact the Yates Hay Road school by calling 01684 564751 or emailing office@dysonperrins.worcs.sch.uk.
Tickets for the celebration event are available from the school's reception.
