MALVERN PROBUS CLUB
THE autumn season of the Malvern Probus Club commenced on Monday, September 3.
The morning was given over to an audio visual presentation entitled The Stately Homes of India.
The speaker, Andrew Gagg, having travelled in India for more than 30 years, has amassed a large collection of photographs which detail the homes and palaces of Indian nobility built before independence.
The style and opulence of these buildings is now largely retained by their modern day use as luxury hotels. Several members were able to recall visits to some of those buildings shown and others were encouraged to consider a future visit.
The next meeting will be on September 17, as usual at the Abbey Hotel, Malvern at 10.30AM when Richard Kendrick will present a talk describing his experiences as a caterer at film locations in unusual places around the country.
Visitors and new potential members will be most welcome.
