HAVE you ever wondered why there are so many science / technical people and businesses in Malvern?
David Whitaker will provide the background to the move of the Telecommunications Research Establishment (TRE) to Malvern during WW2.
He will also describe the impact on Malvern and explain how and why that initial presence and work has evolved over the years.
Malvern Radar And Technology History Society (MRATHS) celebrates Malvern’s technological heritage and so David, a founder member of MRATHS, will include an introduction to this group and some of their activities.
The talk - Scientists in Malvern - will take place at Qinetiq in Malvern on September 17, from 7.30 to 9pm. Everyone is welcome and it's free, but you need to pre-book to be able to get on site. See https://www.theiet.org/events/local/255564.cfm?nxtId=251806) to register.
